03 Compensate
Aquila's Nest Vineyards was inspired by mythological tales and our love for astronomy. One of our wines is named after the Goddess of Earth, Gaea. However, our dedication to Mother Earth extends beyond labels. Ever since the time we planted our first vines, we made a conscious decision to use the least amount of chemicals possible in the vineyard maintenance process. We have tired our hardest to use non-plastic glassware, compostable food boxes, compostable utensils, compostable cups. We've always encouraged our guests to drink from our fresh well water instead of using plastic bottles. We reuse the fallen wood across our 40 acres property for the winery's wood burning stoves, and outdoor fire pits, and we hope to supply 100% solar energy by 2023 to cover our entire energy needs. Our co-founder, Neviana Zhgaba, has been a persistent supporter of continuous sustainability practices in the vineyard and in her local community.
