03 Compensate
Climate change has had a large impact on everyone but with every harvest, as farmers, we notice it even more. In the last few years Kala & Mata has ramped up commitments toward sustainability. As a family-run business that is immediately affected by the climate, it matters to us to contribute in every way possible. Having first been Climate Neutral Certified in 2021, Kala & Mata is not only committed towards Climate Neutral recertification but is also Plastic Neutral Plus certified through CleanHub IO, meaning that we have committed to not only offsetting our own (recyclable) plastic but to also help finance the retrieval of 1000 kilograms of ocean-bound non-recyclable plastic in Indonesia. We hope to do even more in the future.
