Through tools, networks, and community, we make climate action more accessible, to help people become climate leaders — at home and at work. To earn our independent climate certification, The Climate Label, companies are required annually to measure cradle-to-customer emissions, fund GHG reduction and removal projects at a scale that matches their ongoing emissions, and demonstrate plans to address future emissions. Certification standards are reviewed annually by an independent group of climate experts and updated through an in-depth stakeholder process.
Close to 300 companies including Allbirds, REI, Thrive Market and Vuori have earned certification. Together they represent +1M tCO2e total tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions and provide over $11M total funding for climate solutions.
Trusted by leading consumer brands, Planet FWD provides software that makes climate action easier, faster, and more credible. By uniquely combining product footprints (via LCAs) with corporate footprints (Scope 1, 2, 3), companies get a granular understanding of their entire emissions profile, so they can make significant emissions reductions decisions that align with their business strategy and sustainability goals.
Together, companies will be able to ensure global compliance on sustainability regulations, further stand out in the market as a sustainability leader, and drive product-level revenue by offering low-impact products. This partnership will give brands even more guidance on how to take climate action, and build an even larger ecosystem for sustainability-focused brands to collaborate, learn and grow together.
